Rad guards

Recommended Posts

There are a few options in type and brand. I use the Thumper Racing guard/braces and am very happy with those, have had many fals on the shrouds with no radiator damage(Devol is almost the same I think). They wrap around the front from frame to plastic shroud and protect from rocks and sticks as a grill and brace it from side impact as well. Also, there are the Works connection braces which brace from behind. From what I have seen of those they don't seem as strong. I believe the thinking with those is to not restrict any airflow and give some limited support. Try these links;

I have the radiator guards from Thumper Racing and they do take the place of the black plastic fins. They are very easy to install and I'm happy with them. The DeVol radiator guards are a bit more money and are only made for the E and Kick models. If you have an S model you will have to go with the ones from Thumper Racing (b/c S model has a horn and radiator fan). Check out their site:

Good Luck

What type of bike do you have? The Devol's will not fit the S, only the E. Thumper would be you next choice then.
