Thanks for all your comments! Just picked up my new '02 400E today. Damn it all though cause it was already dark and too cold to do more than a lap or two around my backyard by the time I got it home! Looking forward to riding and seeing more information on this site!

Unless you are an advanced rider and can ride the balls off of a bike with a stock motor like the DRZ I would keep to cheap simple hot-rodding tips and put your money into the suspension first, you'll be able to ride smoother, faster, longer. Another words, $400.00 worth of suspension work will go a lot farther than $400.00 worth of motor work. Once you get the suspension dialed in you'll be surprised how fast you can ride through the trees. Happy motoring have fun.
