electric start for rm-z 450 2005

Hi does any one know if they do an electric start for the rm-z 450 2005? went round my mates and found it hard to kick the thing up.

How long has it been since you adjusted your valves? If they are out of whack, it will be hard to start. I give my throttle a little twist (when it's cold) and it fires up in 1-3 kicks.

well not got the bike yet, i get it in 2 weeks time, my mate starts his 1st time but he weighs 19 stone, were as me who weighs 13 find it hard to kick, so was thinking if they did an electric start i could put 1 of those on.

19 and 13 stone? I dont know how much that is but i weigh 160 pounds and i can start mine easy.

well i weigh 180 lbs,

and my mate weighs 266 but has been on steriods so all muscle.

so i take it there is a technique to kicking these beasts up then? and not just pure muscle to do it?

Give this a try.

when cold hold in the kill buton, kick gently without throttle about six times to get the oil up to the cams, pull choke, take your thumb off the kill button and give her a smooth hard kick still no throttle though, when she fires (1-3 kicks) give her a blip of throttle, warm it through and then turn off the choke. .

well my buddy is just stoned and can still kick his.

theres no elec start kit for rmz that im aware of

if you want the lazy button, you may need consider getting a different bike.

if I ever get into riding enduros, I might want to get a kit like that. my dads ktm 450 exc has electric start and he loves it. let us know if you find one. good luck.
