EBC SM Rotor....Buzzing Noise ??

i took my s-sm converted bike for a ride today and every time i hit the front brake i could hear a buzzing noise right up until i came to a complete stop . i'm running the ebc 320 contour rotor with sintered ebc pads , is this sound normal until the pads/rotor break in ?? at first i thought the rotor buttons might be rubbing but i visually inspected the clearance from the rotor to the caliper and everything seems fine and there doesent appear to be any marks that would indicate rubbing , anyone else have this noise

its a normal noise.

Its caused by the pads dragging against the drilling on the disks. You will get used to it

Thanks for asking this question, I have the same sound on my EBC's and was trying to find something rubbing.

I am glad it's a "normal" sound.

I think it is caused by the floating rotor shifting on the float pins.

Haven't had EBC's on my DRZ yet (still on the stock pads) but the EBC Sintered/HH pads have made that noise on every other bike I've had them on.

I have a brand new EBC clutch kit still in package if anyone wants it, bought before I was in the know.. no takers? Thought so

My stock rotor has done the same from new,Its caused by the air being squeazed as the hole enters the pad creating a high pressure area,and the opposite as the hole exits the pad. I think it sounds kind of cool!

With brembos you get a 'whizzy' sound. Really cool!
