my buddy has a 91 kdx 250 and before he got it, it hadnt had an oil change or top end since ,,,,,,1991 and it runs great, after an oil change that is and all new bearings seals, still on the same top end. Gotta admit though 15 years doing without maintenance and now it runs fine, that says alot.

Depends on how you ride it really. Any bike will last for a while if ur not riding the crap out of it.
