xr650l transalp fairing

Has anyone tried to adapt a more substantial fairing (like the transalp fairing) to their xr650l to improve the wind buffeting? I have a baja trip coming up that I want to drive to the border on. A frame mounted fairing like the Transalp might solve the head banging issue found with small windshields mounted on the handlebars.
