New TC450 Pics

Recommended Posts

Just a few pics of the new TC450. I went to the forest use meeting instead of riding this weekend. I wanted to ride but figured the meeting was one of the few things worth cancelling a ride for. Too bad they are shutting down the forests . . .

And yes I have properly routed the front brake line since taking these pics.

Can't wait for this weekend to ride.

Rikker,

The headlight is the Acerbis DHH. I think they look cool and they do put out quite a bit of light. I wouldn't run baja but for trail rides at night it is perfect. All I added was a voltage regulator and wiring harness from Husky. Those parts cost less than $100. FWIW, I haven't actually hooked the lights up yet, but the dealer runs a 65 watt light on his TC and it works fine. This light runs two 35 lamps. I just got the bike in the middle of last week and still need to get the headlight and tailight installed. I should get that done one night this week.

Sweet ride!, Where did you get the headlight? Did you have to change /modify the stator?

I just got done hooking up the headlight and taillight. At idle the headlight is a little bit more dim than at a few thousand rpm, but it certainly puts out plenty of light even then. The only drawback to this light is that a fair amount of light spills out the back of the bulbs behind the housing and would be very distracting at night. I now remember that on my 2004 TE250 I put a piece of duct tape across the tops of the lamps to block the light. If I add a trail computer, it will do that for me. Finally all the accessories are installed and it is ready for ride time.

Putting on the UFO enduro rear fender / taillight would really cap it off. If you even come up north to Walker Valley, give me a holler.

I just got that LED fender/tailight installed. I'll get one more pic tonight and post it. Walker sounds like fun. Do you expect it to be packed this weekend? I may head to Eastern Washington and take the old Sea Doo out. I know of a couple of lakes that are still pretty empty on the 4th weekend.

I usually go early saturday mornings, and it's not too bad. It can get busy by afternoon, and sundays are often a madhouse. By going early I often get in 2 or 3 hours of riding and never see another bike, unless I'm within 1/4 mile of the parking area.
