drz jetting confusion

OK. Please explain. For the drz400s you generally suggest 3x3 mod, 140MJ, and needle on fourth clip position. For the CA model drz400e Dynojet stage 2 kit suggests pulling the snorkel (giving the 3x3 hole) then using a 150MJ and the needle on the third clip position. What do I do? I know you suggested I follow the DJ instructions but why the difference? I would think it would be the same since they both have the 3x3 and same carb. Thanks.

the needles are different between the S kit and CA E kit.it has bigger end demension.requires bigger main jets.
