'05 KX 250 w/JD at 8000 ft+

Recommended Posts

Hey friends,

Heading to Taylor Park, CO on August 2 -8th and I need some help setting the bike up to deal the elevation. I'm being told that the elevation will change between 8000 -11000 ft.

I have the JD Jet Kit and have it jetted for Nebraska elevation (0-3000ft)

- Blue needle

- Clip #3

- 168 Main

- 45 Pilot

For the elevation I was think of changing to

- Red Clip

- Clip #2

- 160 Main

- 45 Pilot

I do have a Pro Circuit exhaust & silencer, JD ignition, 9oz Flywheel weight, and V-Force reeds.

Any comments or suggestions are much appreciated.

Hey there...

The more people I talk to, they tell me a 145 is way over board. Does it have to that lean since it's a JD Kit? I just want to make sure I do not blow anything up.

Thanks in Advance,

Kevin

Hey Eddie,

I trust you, you know much more than me. I just wanted to make you the 145 was not a typo. I jetted it with a 145 like suggested.

I appreciate you help in this,

Kevin
