98 RM Forks - What Springs??? Eddie?

Recommended Posts

I have a set of stock 98 RM conventional forks. I want to change the springs. I went on the race tech site and the heaviest spring rate they show is 44kg/mm. Can you please advise what spring rate I would need - I weigh about 210 with gear and I'm putting them on my DRZS. I used the calculator and put my weight at 250 to compensate for the additional bike weight and it said I needed 0.50kg/mm springs and the largest available are .44.

Thanks for your input. Any additional points or comments would be appreciated.

valving is goo idea.the forks are from a 70lb lighter motorcycle.

.50 is a little stiff for off road work.

i would go with .48 springs and 440cc's of oil.

check with factory connection.i think they had springs still.if not cannon race craft can make them for you.
