New Pitbike Track in the Indy Area!!!

Recommended Posts

After the death of the awesome Thomas Racing Service track at the hands of the local zoning board Indy pit bike racers have been on a major funk. Word has it that there's a new track getting ready to open in Martinsville, IN, just a few miles down the road from the TRS track and my contact said it looks really good!!! It has lights for night racing and should be up and going soon. As more information is available I'll post it here.

The Indianapolis National Speedway continues to run their much-improved mini moto track and will be racing this Sunday, July 30. Information on their mini race series is available at:

Also, there may be pit bike classes offered at the Brown Co. (IN) fair next Thursday, Aug. 3. Again as info is available I'll let you know. For a big bike track last year's fair race was a hoot. ?

I'll be in Indy this weekend to race at the Indy National Speedway...

Still trying to talk Nick Novice into going with me....doubtful though.

I'll be riding the #38 bike with all the skulls on it, come on by and say hey.

That other track sounds promising...I never got the chance to ride at TRS...maybe I can make it to the track in Martinsville...

I went to the open practice today at the new track near Martinsville, IN. One word--AWESOME!! Extremely friendly people with a well laid out track that had safe jumps and good dirt, which they had much improved with the wood mulch they had disc'ed into it. They have three races scheduled:

Sept. 23 (night)

Oct. 28 (night)

Nov. 12 (day)

For those interested in a road trip the Oct. 28 race is the night before my "Big Ten Inch" XR-50 Hare Scrambles, featuring three classes--stock 50, mod 50 and four strokes with wheels up to 17". For more information on the Martinsville track:

Information on the "Big Ten Inch":

Please note that my hare scrambles requires QUIET AS STOCK (i. e., quiet as a typical stock Jap four-stroke playbike) exhausts. Y'all come!!!
