1. Remove side number panel.

2. Remove single bolt holding silencer onto fender/subframe.

3. Pull hard on silencer to slide it off of pipe.

4. Take rubber cover off of pipe/silencer (whichever it stuck to)

5. Use allen wrench and unscrew bolts on silencer.

6. Use a rubber hammar, vice grip (stationary one), or some other tool to pull the end cap with silencer core out of the outer skin.

7. Remove all of the left over silencer packing.

8. Clean the silencer and inner tube with gas/solvent.

9. Wrap new silencer packing around core snug (not too tight or too loose). 10. Use either a thin metal wire or masking tape to hold packing onto it (i use masking tape).

11. Re-install silencer end cap and tube into silencer body with a thin layer of sealent (silicone, gasket maker, etc) around the edge (where the end cape meets the outside of the silencer).

13. Re-install all of the screws you took out.

12. Apply a thin layer of sealant of some sort (silicone, etc) around the silencer end where it meets the pipe and slide it all the way back in with the rubber piece over where the ends meet. Make sure where the ends meet is right in the middle of the rubber piece.

13. Re-attach silencer to subframe, and put the number plate back on.
