I know most people think they must sell at a premium just because it's florida, but that's too expensive.

You could take the carb off the '01, but your '06 forks and shock need no improvement. Of course, you could just buy the carb new for about $500.

$3500 for an '01 K is almost $1000 too much. Sit back and see how much your friend can get for it. If he gets that much, let us know.

The parts would work, suspension is the same for the most part (yours has a bit stiffer springs). I personally think it is too expensive.

If he can get that for the bike, I am bringing mine down to FL to sell.

Not that I am selling, but I picked up my '01 S with 2600 miles back in March for $2200.

If I could make grand, I would sell it and buy a newer one.

Check out kbb.com and don't look at the retail price. That is what a dealer to reconditions the bike would ask for it.

You could put a big bore kit and new carb on your bike for less than swapping out parts from that bike.
