Do many people run without the screen? Without the special Twin Air filter?

I have a flame retardant air filter but I dont really trust it. I bought a uni b/c that is all my dealer had so now I have to put the screen back in.

If back fore screen is dirty then your filter isn't doing its job.

Brake clean or carb clean seems to work the best... I run a power flow kit in mine and i will say it makes a big difference... The stock backfire screen is very restictive on your air flow i have been running no backfire screen for two years now and all I have is two big thumbs up....
