Gearing for dunes

Anyone have a favored gearing arrangement for dune riding? Thinking about buying a YZ2fiddy and an 8 paddle.

You would probably want more top speed. So make the front sprocket bigger and the back smaller. Something like a 14/46, something around there.

i dont think he has enough hp to ride 70+ mph up a big dune.....

I would say use the stock gearing the first time and determine what you need. If your say only getting into 3rd gear, and 4th wont pull the big hills then go down a few teeth. otherwise if 5th pinned is pulling them then hell. stay stock

you want POWER. If your crazy then 5th gear on your dirtbike can get you up a hill if you get enough momentum, just make sure u have the balls to fly and land. lol

Also when are you goin to the dunes im guessing its pismo cause you live in cali. Im goin this weekend

might want too jet up the main alittle bit richer since your going too be wide open the hole time, also use filter skins..
