YZ 250F Seized Today.

Hi,

I was riding my bike today after just changing the oils in it. Started up fine, ran for a little while then just locked up on me and siezed.

Does anyone know what could be wrong?

If u changed the oil filter make sure u didt put it in backwards. If it was backwards it would prevent the pil from flowing to all the vital parts.

How could you put it in backwards? Wouldn't that would be impossible ?

did any oil leak out? if it did check all drain plugs hoses and lines. also make sure that all of the little orings in your oil filter cover were installed properly. if you dont find the problem, did you put in the right amount of oil? i always add just a tad extra when i change out the oil in my bike

Every time you ride your 250f you should check the oil pressure on the right side of the motor where it enters the top end, there is an 8mm bolt where the line enters just start the bike back out the 8mm screw half way the oil will seep out around the bolt if it does not you dont have pressure to the top end I hope this helps you in the future.
