my buddy has a kx250f and he thinks its better than my 06 crf250r is it true ?

iv ridden both and ill try to give you some insight. The honda is smoother all around, smoother powerband, seems more stable and such. However the engine is relatively sketchy using the unicam design and there has been some problems. Also the new twin-pipe design makes getting a exhaust system for it a thousand+ dollar affair. The kx250f on the otherhand has a harder hitting powerband, roll-on power, and for the most part a more reliable engine. The suspension on both seemed about equal, as they both use showa components however i liked the honda a wee bit better.

It all depends but they are neck and neck in my book.

I rode a stock 2005 CRF250 the other day, and i must admit, even though i want one n all, i thought its power was boring... In comparison to the kxf anyway.

depends on what year kx250f you are talking about...

04-05...no

06...yes

06 KX250F's go well, but honda 05's and 06's dont die much.
