bending radiator back

Recommended Posts

I'm fixing up my old kx80 and the radiator is a little tweaked (squished in). It doesn't leak but how do i push that out again? I'm not going as far as sending it to Myler's yet but was wondering if there was a way to bend it back a little.

Thanks

if it is not leaking right now and not in the way of anything leave it alone. there is a chance you will do more damage bending it back.

I have re-bent mine using strong fishing line. Thread it through the radiator and pull away.

The radiator will flex quite a bit before it breaks.

Obviously, things can go wrong, but so far I have been ok.

it might not be leaking now when you bend it back it most likely will send it to mylers and have it done right.

Good advice. If it's not broke don't fix it!

ok, the fishing line sounds like a pretty good trick. I'll just do it gently and if it doesn't work i guess ill just leave it.

Thanks
