I have an '04 with over 200 hours on it. One piston, one set of SS valves and it's still running like a scalded dog. It's NEVER left me stranded.

i bet it just broke and he didnt do anything wrong..... he just left it outside, didnt wash it, and never changed the oil.... that is if he even has a bike.... maybe his 05 will hold up better.... dumbass

I love my 04. Getting ready this winter to tear it down and rebiuld the top end, but other than that it has been a fantastic bike and has never given me problems.
