countershaft sprocket/chain guard- who makes this?

Recommended Posts

This was on my bike:

I know it's aftermarket, but I don't know who makes it. It was on my DRZ400S, but I went back to the stock countershaft sprocket size, and it is chewing up the chain now.

So, who makes this piece? I'm hoping they make a bigger size..

Cool- does anyone in the US sell them? And is the 'medium' a size bigger than mine- i.e., does it work with the stock sprocket size?

Thanks,

Last time I looked there was an E-Bay seller on .co.uk.

He was selling 2 sizes for, 14 and 15 tooth sprockets.

Personally, I would just grind the offending item to fit the bigger sprocket.

Neil-

It's so close on size that I'm not comfortable just grinding it down. The chain lash is causing damage on deceleration, the tolerances are just too tight.

That look like a sprocket guard, not a case saver/guard.

Thanks. When I examined the pictures a little better, I can see that too- it doesn't provide any protection inline with the chain. I cancelled my order.
