Warranty?

Read somewhere on here that you needed to take drz400sm to dealer for 600 mile service for warranty.

I bought mine and moved immediately across the country, but never heard about this. anybody know the details. I'll probably just change oil etc. myself if it doesn't matter.

As far as I know you do NOT have to take your bike to a dealer for service, even the first one.

All you need to do is keep a receipt for the oil/filter and whatever else the manufacturer says should be changed for that particular bike.

Kawasaki clearly spells it out on their web site but the Suzuki SOBs don't.
