First Time to Kennedy Meadows

Recommended Posts

I am going to KM next weekend for the first time and i am really excited but i wanted to get a little guideance from the veterans on the best trails to ride. I have posted a large and small version of the map here:

If anyone has the time to highlight some fun trails i would truly appreciate it.

Thanks

Go look at the I'm Farkin Tired Ride Report from Jeff in RC. He calls out all the trail names that they rode plus gives the total miles for the loop. I rode there for the first time on 7/21-23 and there wasn't a single trail that wasn't fun. If you'd like I could give you two 55 mile loops that I got from Dale at Trick Dual Sports that are both alot of fun and challenging. The northern loop is alittle easier than the southern loop but you still need to be a good intermediate level rider to do either loop.

Man are those maps hard to look at! :ride: Damn dial-up at work. Check out my ride report at http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=401519 and see what you think. Thanks Walt!!

We camped at the Troy Meadows Overflow campground and you can get to most of the trails from there quite easily. Have fun!!

Let me know when it's a group of 6 or less. I hate riding in big groups. Somebody is always lost/crashed/tired/whatever.

I'm hoping on going out for a first time trip to KM in a couple weeks but was wondering what the chances of getting busted for a red sticker would be. My buddy has a 03 Wr450 with a red sticker and don't know if he will be alright to go. Any info from personnel experiences would be appreciated. thanks

Chances are zero since KM is red sticker friendly 365 days a year!

KM, Rocks? Well hardly!

If you like rocks try Gorman LPNF or Big Bear. They have real rocks there.
