Big Bore Questions

I am looking to get more torque from the motor so a big bore would be the best solution.

Can I:

- retain the stock cams and CV carb

I like the mellow power delivery and no fussness of the CV carb.

I know the FCR is superior in many ways but it would not suit what I am looking for.

Has anyone done the big bore on the stock S motor and retained the stock compression, Carb and CAM's ?

Burned ? Any input on this one ?

I am no expert, I will just give you my 3 cents. I did the 3x3 and yoshi for first mod to a totally stock s and thought that was very well spent money with very noticeable gains. Next I did the 436 big bore, very happy with it as well. I thought that the bang for the buck was right on. I think you would be very pleased if you decided to do it. cams and carb would be nice addition but not and absolute necessity.

You can do it that way if you want, not sure why but you could. Maybe just do a stroker kit for torque and forget the big bore.

I ditch the cams for at least a set of stock e's though.
