Chain & Sprocket Questions

Well it's about time for a new set of chain and sprockets for the ol' gal.

I was think about just some Primary Drive steel sprockets. Thoughts?

How about a chain...I've heard that Primary Drive chains aren't that great. I'm kinda on a budjet so I'm looking for the best bang for my buck. What would give me that?

What are you guys running for a chain on your 250's??

I've had primary drive sprockets and an RK x-ring chain for the last couple of years. Adjusted it once. Never clean it or lube it. Cheap and good quality, but a bit on the heavy side (all steel sprockets, oh well).

Thanks, do you know what model X-Ring? There is one that is like $50 and one that is like $85

.....I went with the D.I.D. X-Ring and Iron Man sprocket. The first X-Ring lasted a year and a half with one adjustment after the initial break in. With the rub plate behind the shifter the plates on the chain get ground down. That's the only reason it was replaced, as far as the Iron man, it's showing very little wear after a year and a half.
