just bought a 2002 RM125!!

Coming from an XR250 this thing absolutely flies!!!! Getting in the powerband is like heaven, the front wheel wants to raise up in pretty much every gear except 6th. and the power is surprisingly smooth. The suspension has been revalved by Works so it is about 1000 times better than my XRs. I hit a small 35 foot double and cased it pretty bad and only used about 8 inches of the suspension and it felt so plush. Damn i love this thing!!!!!

All XR, TTR, Crf230 and lower should be lighted up on fire.....

Heavy ass thumpers dont stand a chance against light and fast smokers.

Here we go again.

Depends on the rider most the time doesn't it?

Nice! Nothing like riding a race bike for the first time. When I jumped off my TTR125 and started riding my 125Sx I was like :ride: . Congrats on the new bike.

I was talking about the old thumper vs smokers topic.

I was saying that TTR`s 230 and lower CRF`s and XR dont stand a chance against 125- 250 smokers.

Now the Full sized mx and offroad thumpers vs smokers argument will all come down to personal preference as you stated.

Could that possibly be because they were built with different purposes in mind? ttr's and xr's are built for trail riding, not racing. 125 and 250 two strokes are built for racing.

A 125 or 250 two stroke will destroy an R-6 (street bike) on a motocross track, does that mean 2-strokes are better?
