TDC of my Xr250R

Hello,

Can someone please explain to me how i find the top dead center of my bike.

I'm having trouble starting the bike, because i don't know what the TDC is. or should feel like

it's the hard spot when you are kicking, raise the kickstarter all the way up and then push down lightly until it gets harder to push or even stops that should be the tdc, once you find it kick as hard as you can and boom you have a runnng bike.

Sometimes TDC is difficult to find on the XR250 due to the auto decompressor mounted on the camshaft. Push the engine over slowly with the kick starter, several times may be necessary, until you feel a good deal of resistance, this is the piston coming up on the compression stroke. Pull in the compression release, and push the kick starter another couple of inches. Let go of the comp release, return the kick starter to the top of the stroke, give it a good boot, easy starting is the result.
