AMA membership

Over a month ago I joined the AMA at the track when I decided to race for the first time. They told me that I would get my membership card in the mail but it still hasn't shown up yet. Have any of you guys had this same experience? How long did it take to get your membershop card in the mail?

mine took about 2 weeks.

yea, they take their sweet time getting them to you, as long as you have the paper work though you can still race, if it takes more than 2 months then i would call them.

mine only took about a week..everything went smoothly. you should have a temporary card if you registered. we had that for a week and then it came.

The problem here is not the AMA. The clubs don't always get the paper work to the AMA in a timely fashion.

I havn't gotten an AMA card, but my JetX2 membership card still hasn't shown up after 2 months. It sucks having to carry my receipt to every track day. ?

I mailed my membership application and check last wednesday and received an e-mail confirmation yesterday (one week later) and the e-mail states it will be an additional 2-3 weeks to receive the full packet in the mail with card.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I know I can still race as along as I have my receipt from when I purchased the membership. It's just kind of figured it would have been here by now. I'm also curious what number is so I can get my preprinted backgrounds made.

u pick your own number, the ama doesnt assign your race number

In our area, your race number is the last three digits of your AMA number, i would send them an e-mail asking for your AMA number if you need it
