*Fuse behind number plate

*Clutch interlock switch connector

*pinched wires under tank, and at steering head

*intermitent cell in battery

*mis-adjusted auto de-compression release

*ground wire next to coil : comes unplugged

Alecams,

Did you ever figure out what was wrong with your estart? It sounds like you had the same problem that I'm having.

I'm curious to see what you did to get it working again.

Thanks,

Gary

Re: E-start button does nothing!

I found the problem! Yes, I'm an idiot. Now, don't laugh too hard...

The main fuse I *thought* I was checking was actually the spare. When I pulled the spare out again to check it for the 3rd time, I realized it didn't seem to be part of the main circuit - it just went into a holding boot. I unclipped the starter magnetic switch cover, and lo-and-behold there was the main fuse. It was BLOWN!!!!

I am officially the biggest idiot on TT (at least for today). Thanks to EVERYONE who replied! I'm once again a happy X owner

Gary
