DougJ Posted August 5, 2006 I've had my SM less than two weeks, and I'm really liking it! I Ordered up some stuff from Forrest and got his usual great service and quick shipping. Here's some pics of the stuff. Zeta RX clamp and bars. It doesn't say so in the catalog but the clamp is adjustable about 5-10mm, very nice. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v468/DougJ/Street%20bikes/DRCZetastuff008.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v468/DougJ/Street%20bikes/DRCZetastuff005.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v468/DougJ/Street%20bikes/DRCZetastuff004.jpg Moved the ignition switch to accomodate the new bar clamp. Sorry from the crappy pic. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v468/DougJ/Street%20bikes/DRCZetastuff.jpg Zeta handguards and shields. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v468/DougJ/Street%20bikes/DRCZetastuff009.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v468/DougJ/Street%20bikes/DRCZetastuff002.jpg DRC Edge taillight, turn signals were a local purchase. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v468/DougJ/Street%20bikes/DRCZetastuff007.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v468/DougJ/Street%20bikes/06SMNew007.jpg I also got a 38t Vortex rear sprocket (direct from Vortex). This is how the bike should be geared for the street. Now that I know I like it I need to take out a couple of links on the chain, the adjusters are allll the way out there. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v468/DougJ/Street%20bikes/DRCZetastuff001.jpg Gonna have to start on the motor as soon as I can justify the bucks, it's got about 700 miles on it already... DougJ Posted August 5, 2006 Thanks for the comments, I really like the quality of the Zeta products! I have another set of the same turn signals I put on the rear for the front, I wanted to wait till I got the handguards on to make the brackets though. I moved the ignition switch before I got the stuff from Forrest, it is a good spot for it! The picture is lousy but all you have to do is drill and trim the stock bracket, then clearance the headlight shell. I did the headlight shell carefully with a razor knife, it's quite soft. Taillight... Looks edgy... Doug

MaxxTraxx Posted August 6, 2006 nice. how do you like the bars so far? cut down on vibration/give you a better "feel" of the bike? I'll second forest's service...I got a edge light/601 turns and he was awsome. now, if I can just figure out how to get my camera to talk to my new computer I can get pics up. DougJ Posted August 6, 2006 I've got a set of the same signals I used on the rear for the front, just need to get around to putting them on. I had the stockers flipped but had to unflip them. Forrest didn't have the bend I wanted in stock so he picked out the closest thing and recommended that. I'm still not 100% sure about the bend, but the feel is great. Didn't notice a significant change in vibration, but if I had to guess I'd say it's slightly reduced from stock. This Zeta stuff is very nice quality though, that's for sure. raburns Posted August 6, 2006 How does the stock engine do with the 36T rear sprocket?
Spam16v Posted August 6, 2006 now the real question is, will the ZETA hand guards work with the CYCRA tripple clamp mounts, that would be nice. b/c Zeta's are available in black and cycra are not, and the cycra mounting via the tripple clamp bolts is very trick and cleans up the controls nicely i think. muddy udders Posted August 6, 2006 I have cycra pro bends in black and their enduro guards are avail in black also. http://store.cycraracing.com/trclmopr.html I will take some pictures. PS: If you have steel bars you can buy the kit for aluminum bars and add some tubing over the internal piece, that way when you buy aluminum bars in the future you dont have to buy the other end clamps. DougJ Posted August 6, 2006 How does the stock engine do with the 36T rear sprocket? It's a 38t, I typoed I guess... I'll fix the post. The 38 does great! I was hoping it would get me by until I could get some more power out of the motor, but I didn't cut the chain because I wasn't sure it would pull the gearing OK. Did it lose a bit of snap off the bottom? Maybe, but it's not an issue, it's not like it the bike is a real tiger stock anyway so I'm not missing anything. It makes a huge difference going down the road though, Makes the gearbox much more useable in the mountains where I live. Just cruising you'll realy notice the difference to, it takes that 55 to 60 sweet spot and moves it to 65 to 70. Doug
Spam16v Posted August 7, 2006 I have cycra pro bends in black and their enduro guards are avail in black also. http://store.cycraracing.com/trclmopr.html $65 for Zeta is exactly half of $130 for Cycra, twenty bucks is one thing but half is annother.... plus im going to order my DRC light and some other stuff at the same time and save shipping
