Anyone running a 2002 or newer 250 at high altitude

research skipn8r's post..he was trying to jet his 03 cr250 until he decided to put an 01 motor in it, but i believe he was using the kehin on the 03 motor too.

I'm at 5,300 ft, but like punkrock said, I'm running the Keihin PWK. Never even tried the Mikuni. If you don't have a manual (jetting chart) Kuritaro9 has posted the '01 jetting chart which would get you in the ballpark, but most agree that the recommended jetting is quite rich.

There is a post over on DRN that addresses the Mikuni-PWK conversion, and if I recall correctly, some posts address Mikuni jetting. Another DRN post addresses jetting on the '01 CR250 and may get you close for sea level. It seems that many people have had good success changing out the nozzle for a smaller size (S7 or S4). Once you have a good baseline for sea level (or any altitude), you should be able to use the factory jetting chart to predict changes for the 9,000 - 12,000 ft range.
