Best Pipe for the Woods

Recommended Posts

I'm doing a lot of tight woods that open up to some whooped up power lines and a couple of sandy moto tracks in between.

Thinking about going to a 50T but then I will give up on the top.

Which pipe will give me the best of both worlds?

A little more low end to pull through the tight woods and give me the top for when things open up.

I've got a quickshot installed that helped a little but looking for just a little more.

I run a 47t on the back with the ti-powercore and powerbomb for the woods. Power is super smooth and it flys out in the fast stuff. I like having the longer space in my gearing for lugging it through the woods, but depending on how you ride you might not like it.

You guys seem to gear down in back. Would I even need to gear up with a new pipe?

I just need a little more for those steep rutted/rooted 1st gear East Coast hills.

I might look into a FMF Q2 or Powercore w/Powerbomb or a Yosh TRC.

I'm not looking to break the bank on a system.

I want to keep it around $400
