It could always be quicker lol, I just ordered an FMF exhaust. Have you done a top end on one of these? I would like to freshen it up but I cant find a manual for it anywhere

I have no idea what to look for if its out of adjustment, and if it is, how do I find out what the proper specs are? argggg, I think Im gonna screw it and spend 80 bucks on the Yamaha service manual ?

When you have the PV cover off you need to put a pin/dowel(the end of a drill bit works) in the notch and line the pin/dowel with hole in the cyl. ajust the cables so there is a little free play on each cable just so they are not binding, just make sure to tighten the jam nut back up on the ajusters when you are done.
