RMZ / DRZ400SM wheel compatibility

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

Not sure where this thread should go. Not talking about rotors or sprockets, just considering hubs/axles basically. I have read that the forks are the same and the swingarm (except length). I have the drz400sm and can get a take-off set of 17th moto wheels from an rmz. Just want to know what would be involve in retro fitting if they are not straight bolt on.

Thank you in advance : )

Tom

This is another one of those topics that gets covered every week..... Nope Nope Nope. RMZ hubs are totally different and so are the rotors. Not to say you couldn't make them work with some machining of spacers etc. But its not a simple bolt on deal.

RM125/250 front wheels will bolt right on but have no speedo tabs.

RM125/250 rear hubs are too narrow. The rotor and sprocket are closer together than a DRZ.
