Yea, I think i messed up!

Recommended Posts

I've been wanting to make my 33 bhp restrictor off for a while and today i got around to doing it.

For those of you that dont know, it means i have to replace the carb diaphram!

So i took the seat & tank off and got my screwdrivers at the ready.

I managed to burr the screw head in a matter of seconds! Now i dont know :thumbsup: &%$#@! to do!

HELP! :ride:

Use a small pair of good channel lock type pliers to get ahold of the heads and turn them. They will crack loose. That is what I did with mine. The factory must use an impact screw stick to put those things in there. Ignition pliers work well, or small vise grips

Be careful, a hammer was never made for use with a carb.... :applause:

With that in mind, I find using a No2 Philips bit (the hex drive bit type) and

a hammer works well, tap the bit into the screw, and then slip the driver in place and twist in the normal way.

Neil.

I'll be trying to do this tomoro!

another question,

the second screw seems to be really inaccessable! due to the frame getting in the way.

how can i move the move around to get to the o/s diaphram screw?

Cheers :ride::thumbsup:
