Rekluse Question

Recommended Posts

I just installed a rekluse in my 250x. How much hesitation before the clutch engages? It seems like it takes long to engage and does not change when I adjust the perch adjuster. thanks kj

Something must be wrong then. With the light spring mine would engage just off idle and turning out the adjuster would raise engagement rpm. does the cable have slack and the clutch lever go to the bar easy when the engine is at idle or off. Make sure it does or something could be wrong in the cable setup. What is your gap set at. I found it best to stay on the small side, like .035. Are you using a 3 tungsteon and 1 steel ball pattern around the clutch. If you're using all steel balls like the R model, it will engage at higher rpm.

I have the tungsten ball set up correct for the x and my gap is set up to .035 or a little less. The lever pull feels correct but I will check slack set up again. Thanks Again KJ
