1999 DR 350S question...urgent

Recommended Posts

I have a question about my DR 350. I bought it not long ago and was looking through the paper work and relized that a year and a half ago it was bored out to 400. Should I be worried. Is there anything I need to look for? worry about? treat different than if it was stock?

Does boring out a bike hurt it?

By the way...it runs great

overbore on an engine is a pretty normal thing. It could mean that they had to rebuild the top end and the cylinder was worn out. For the most part it is harmless unless it was not rejetted properly. Another thing to be careful of is, I wouldn't run the engine really hard because the extra engine heat could make the engine seize easier. Just keep that in mind. Change the oil a little more often.

I have got a dr 350 which is bored out to a 435 , I ride the hell out if it and havent had any problems , just make sure you oil is always full and change it as often as you can afford as crappy oil is very bad for your engine.
