12 Hour Endurance Race

Recommended Posts

RFC (Rider For Christ) is having their first ever 12-hour endurance Race on September 23-24, in Crafton, TX. This Race is to help the ministrie grow and be able to build a church on the land in Crafton, TX. If you intend on racing this race you need to e-mail Kevin at rfcyouth@earthlink.net with your team and class or if you intend on racing the Iron Man class. Pro purse $3000.

There will be 6 Int classes(open, 250, 250f and below, over 30, over 38,and over 45) 6 Exp classes (open, 250, 250f and below, over 30, over 38,and over 45), Pro and Iron Man. We still encourage amateurs to come out and give it a shot, just sign up in the Int class. Minis and Ladies are welcome as well as long as you have at least a 14" rear wheel. We also would like to see a mini team and/or an all ladies team. All teams will be 4 man/woman teams and each person can ride their own bike.

Entry Prices are as follows:

Pro Team $250 per team

Exp & Int. Team $200 per team

Ironman $150

Gates will open on Friday and sign ups will start at 8am saturday untill 2pm. Practice will be 10-2 but you must sign up before you practice. The riders meeting will be at 2:30 and the race will follow at 3. Each rider will do 2 laps then switch in their assigned pit only. Saturday will end at 7pm with a tire changing competition following for the pro teams only. That should be pretty entertaining. The change will consist of putting the bike on the stand taking tires off the bike changing both tires and back on the bike and off the stand. The team with the fastest time will have time taken off there overall time.

The track will be challenging but everything is all makeable. If there is a questionable spot on the track there will be an alternate. Pros can NOT use any alternates, they must stay on the main course. There will be 3 rows of pits, one for Pro, Exp, Int and one main line around the pits. After the pits there will be a long groomed straight and whoever has the fastest MPH down the straight will recieve $100, all classes eligible. Rocks, roots, logs, hills, ledges, tractor tires, telephone poles and anything else we can think of we will put it in the track.

The peewee track will be open all weekend for your kids to practice all weekend.

If you have any questions you can e-mail Kevin at rfcyouth@earthlink.net or call at 940-594-6808.
