another battery question

Recommended Posts

I took a 350 mile trip on a 2006 drz 400s and it has been real hard to start ever since . seems like the battery is not turning the engine over fast enough. When it starts the lights all go off even on the speedo. I put it on a charger and it said fully charged. any ideas I think it's still under warranty however it has started every time. It just has a hard time. I don't want to be stuck in the woods with no kicker.

I would just find out if it's still under warranty and if so take it in and make them fix the problem. I have an 01 and knock on wood it has never given me any trouble starting. This bike is to new for you to be having to deal with a problem like this. Good luck.

No, the lights do not go off. That is a Honda thing. Suzuki has never done that.

Check the battery voltage under load. It sounds like a dry battery but of course it is sealed so you can't tell. Does not sound right. Check charging voltage. Possibly it is over charging and cooking the battery.
