Duken4evr Posted August 12, 2006 It occurred to me if you are coming to the DRZ rally and not local that you may tend to dismiss the Rampart trail ride. Here a few pics that may change your mind. I got there early and started riding at 7:30 AM. The golden morning light makes for pretty pics It is not that far to go and worth the effort. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v32/duken4evr/Motorcycke%20shots/Rampart%20Range/DRZ.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v32/duken4evr/Motorcycke%20shots/Rampart%20Range/Trail1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v32/duken4evr/Motorcycke%20shots/Rampart%20Range/Trail3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v32/duken4evr/Motorcycke%20shots/Rampart%20Range/Scenery1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v32/duken4evr/Motorcycke%20shots/Rampart%20Range/Rock.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v32/duken4evr/Motorcycke%20shots/Rampart%20Range/Devilshead.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v32/duken4evr/Motorcycke%20shots/Rampart%20Range/ElkFawns.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v32/duken4evr/Motorcycke%20shots/Rampart%20Range/Trail2.jpg This stuff goes on for miles and miles too by the way. I did a nice 63 mile loop, never did the same trail twice http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v32/duken4evr/Motorcycke%20shots/Rampart%20Range/Miles.jpg Any local guys who like to start their ride early, particularly on Saturdays, and want a an experienced, highly competent and reliable off road only DRZ ride buddy who likes to do Rampart please PM me. Duken4evr Posted August 13, 2006 Where do you live in CA? I was in Long Beach for 16 years. Jawbone and Kennedy Meadows were awesome riding, but a long haul to get to. The area shown in the photos is exactly 35 miles from my driveway
