xr100 drive sprocket

Recommended Posts

I finaly dug into my conversion project again ( its close) I ordered some front sprockets from sprocket specicialists. they do not have holes in them for the fixing plate bolts, only a little snap clip and it allows the sprocket to float back and fourth on the drive shaft about 1/16". it seem sketchy to me. does anyone know if this is right or did they send me wrong stuff?

They did not send you the wrong setup, that is the way sprocket specialists sells the sprockets, with the circlip. Because there are a few different sized retainer plate bolt hole spacings, and the fact that Honda uses the 6-spline trans shaft for many different models, they use the circlip application, which would be a universal fit for all the different bikes.

yep thats what they told me too..

actually they gave me a number to their x-tech guy and he said he tried to get them to drill/thread them He didn't like it either as a stick jammed in the wrong spot could force the sprocket towards the case but I guess it was a no

I'm not running it, there are other companys that make them correctly
