pilot jet screw 1/4 turn out!

Recommended Posts

I drilled out the brass pilot screw cover and checked how many turns out the pilot jet screw was set at. To my amazement it was 1/4 turn out, could not believe it rechecked it 3 times, yup it was only 1/4 turn out. Is this normal?

Just put in the dynojet kit, 155 main jet, needle clip in the 4th from the top position, Jesse’s pilot jet screw 1 turn out. Test ride tomorrow.

Mine was all the way in when I checked it... but I think that the screw I used to pull the plug had contacted it and drove it home. I wouldn't be surprized at 1/4-turn though. It's dry!

Check to see if there's a scuff mark or point mark on the pilot screw that indicates that your plug removal screw may have turned it in. If it was a pointy screw then you may need a magnifying glass to check the slot for a small mark.
