pilot screw 1/4 turn out!

Recommended Posts

I drilled out the brass pilot screw cover and checked how many turns out the pilot jet screw was set at. To my amazement it was 1/4 turn out, could not believe it rechecked it 3 times, yup it was only 1/4 turn out. Is this normal?

Just put in the dynojet kit, 155 main jet, needle clip in the 4th from the top position, Jesse’s pilot jet screw 1 turn out. Test ride tomorrow.

Eddie,

I tried it a 1/4 it will still run but runs really bad. I must have turned it when I removed the plug. It is now set at about 1 and 1/8 turns out.

New qeustion: I am gettting a little 'surging' at 55mph in 5th. Did not do it before. Should I try moving the needle clip up a notch or richen or lean the pilot jet needle?

Thanks!!!
