Racing---Dead Engine Starts

Recommended Posts

Somebody remind me where you want to have the piston for a dead engine start at a race. I'm thinking that your best chance of having it fire up on the first kick is to have the piston just past top dead center. Right or wrong? Any other tricks for getting a quick start to avoid being in the dust?

before you kill the engine after the warm up time select wot gear you whant to start in (1st or 2ed) now kill the engine in gear and dont let go of the clutch, this will help starting as there isent as much and you dont have to piss about putting it in gear after starting
