Where did you guys stage at? I rode that area about 15 years ago and can't remember where we staged. That is a beautiful area to ride.

Old Dude

that was an awesome display of trip pics. i love the pic looking south over probably 150 miles of Sierra. you could probably see the rock mountains of touolomne, and the jagged peaks of the Kaweah Gap.

Great post! Thanks for the great pictures and ride report!. Looks like you're above timber line in some of those pictures. I'm inspired 'cause I'm leaving for the mountains in 2 days. Headed to Utah then Colorado all on the West slope this year. Sierras are every bit as breath taking as the Rockies....perhaps even more so.

Part II ride pics ...................... or "The toughest 12.5 miles I've ridden" :applause:

This ride starts with what SilverLakeRider (SLR) calls Three Man Trail (it might take three men to help get through parts of it): :applause:

PeakRider thinking "Are you f---king kidding me? We're not on trials bikes!"

SLR helping Peak up Three Man Trail

SLR and Peak, glad that's behind us.

Here are a few other pics from along the way:

SLR going through a small rock garden.

PeakRider doing his SuperSlyko impression.

SLR and Shady scouting out future possibilties.

SilverLakeRider taking a break.

It wasn't all brutal tough stuff:

A nice stretch through the trees.

A section between switchbacks with the river down below.

A big mountain meadow.

Of course we had to go back down Three Man Trail, which was way easier than going up:

ShadyatBest coming down Three Man.

SLR making his way down.

PeakRider's turn. OOPS, forgot to resize that one.

The crew, with all the tough stuff behind us.

Nope, one more big step, SLR drops in.

It was tough, but still a great day.

Shady knows how to finish a tough ride ...... refreshments! :ride:

OMG!

This is something that few can say they've experienced. :ride:

This is hilarious!

So Saturday was better than Sunday. How about a map............. or better yet................... a guide!

I'm so envious! I can do without the rock staircase and the girls lost 5-0.

Here are a few scenic pics from today's ride:

I don't remember the name of this lake, but what a view - Sierra Lake and View

That's on the 4WD trail that connects Bear River to Squaw Ridge. It's a turnout spot on the trail and you're looking down on Pardoe lake.

:ride: I don't think Three Man Trail qualifies as a staircase, it's not that easy, and you can't get to any of the stuff we rode today without going up that first ......................... well not legally anyways.
