Calling all Staintune owners

Recommended Posts

I've been thinking about getting a full staintune exhaust for my DRZ400S - in part becuse it doesn't need repacking. I've seen from photos that the header is little bit wider diameter - but is also horizontal and shorter than the stock with it's much longer U-bend. From an earlier post TT folk have suggested that this shorter horizontal header might sacrifice low-end power to get mid-top end power gains.

I was just wondering what Staintune owners found in terms of improved performance in low-mid-high ranges. Does anyone have any dyno curves that show the difference ?

I cannot give you specifics or dyno curves, but can tell you that it makes more power everywhere. The tuning on the stock S & SM's is pus - anything you do will improve it.

After the exhaust, Dynojet kit and 3*3, it feels almost as torquey as my XR400 down low, but loads more go further up the rev range.

Cheers
