I almost finished getting my wideband setup done for my SM. Still need to make up a rpm filtering circuit as my controller doesn't have an rpm input. The software has been done for ages... just need to make up the converter.

Does anyone have a list of target AFRs that work for the SM? I haven't messed with it much yet because I don't have my rpm input done but I did take it for a spin...

idle 11.5-12.0

1/2 throttle midrange ~14-15

1/2 throttle near redline ~15-16

WOT midrange ~12.5

I sware the bike ran better last week after I moved the needle to the 3rd clip. It now seems like something is plugged. Anyway, here are my settings...

- 3"x4"

- 150 main jet

- 25 pilot jet

- 3rd clip on needle from top

- 2.5 turns out on fuel screw

Does that wideband have the heating element built into it? Also what kind of output does it have. I have been looking for a good wideband so I can interface it into my data acquisition I have on the Dyno I am building. I need a simple 0-10 analog signal. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Yes it has a heater built in. All current pump wideband sensors (NTK, Delphi, or Bosch) need to have tight heater control to maintain accuracy. The setup I have is almost one of a kind... I designed it for the company I used to work for shortly before I left but not too long before the CEO drove the company into the ground. All I took with me were a few pre production prototypes. It has serial as well as 0-5V analog outputs.

There are a bunch of companies making widebands nowadays but you can't go wrong with an Innovate LM-1 or LC-1 for best bang for the buck. I haven't heard of a company having a 0-10V analog output but 0-5V works just fine.

Ah yes. I don't know why I am thinking 0-10. It is indeed 0-5. F4ight, where is a good place to purchase one of these. Im a college student on a budget and the loan I took out to build this dyno is already gone. I don't need one but I just really don't see the point in having a dyno if you can't see how the bike is running.

you did reuse all of the spacers on the needle correct?its a SM kit for sure correct?

Correct spacers... DJ kit# MQ3110.001. I am going to try duct tapping the air box closed to 3"x3" and put the clip back on 2nd position down.
