After-market Valve Seats???

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I was reading this months issue of Transworld MX and they did a project with pro-circuit on a CRF250. As i was reading everythign that PC had put into the motor, i noticed that they had copper valve seats installed at $119.00 a piece (4 of them). I was intrueged at this and thought that maybe differnt valve seats would make the 04 and 05 kxf/rmz250s last longer in the valve area. I looked around on PC's website and they mention nothing about the valve seats at all, but i did find a company by the name of Xcedolene that makes all types of TI valves and they make the valve seats for like 21.95 a piece. Does anyone know anything about these valve seats and where i could find a company that would be able to install these. The head would have to be milled out around the valve seat area to allow these new "seats" to be installed and then cut for new valves. I would assume PC would be able to do it but im sure they would be really expensive.
