Intermittent bogging problem

Recommended Posts

I've got a problem with my bike bogging and dying occasionally.

As soon as I stop and re-kick it back to life it'll run fine for a while than it'll start bogging and dying till I run through the drill and start it again.

It sounds and feels like a 2-stroke does when a plug fouls, but it starts right up with no problems.

Plug is good, the motor is tight, everything adjusted right. I'm kinda stumped.

Anyone had this happen to them?

My quess would be that you may want to clean the carb. Sounds like you may have some junk in there clogging up the jets.

sounds like theres some trash floating around in the bowl. when you get on it, it'll suck the trash over a orfice, then when it dies it's released. check the carb

I had a similar problem and it ended up being my sparkplug cap. The spring inside the cap the rides against the resistor had a bad spot in it.
