Jetting for 2004 DR-Z400S @ 3600ft??

Recommended Posts

Hey guys...

I have a 2004 DR-Z400S, and I have ordered a FMF Powercore 4 pipe, and header, and plan on cutting some holes in the top of the airbox. I was wondering if anyone knew a good jetting set up for in and around 3600ft/1100m? I live in Calgary, Alberta. Canada, and do some riding here, but I also go out to B.C. quite a bit to ride, and the altitude is 1400ft/430m. I am looking for something that will work well for both. Seeing as I've never done anything like this, I'm going to get my local Suzuki dealer to install, but they figure they will have to play around with it for 2-3 hours x $80 an hour to get it right...I'd rather have a good starting point already made up for them. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance.

Fabian.

Thanks Eddie...

couple other questions- What is dj needle/slide? and what brand of jets etc...do you suggest I go with? I heard from someone else that I should go with a Dynojet kit, and leave the main jet stock, and go to the 25 pilot jet...this is no good for my elevations I take it? Thanks again.

Fabian.
