HOW TO POWDERCOAT (with pics)`

Recommended Posts

ok first step is to take the part off you bike. you can either sand blast it or sand it,whichever works for you.put the part on a tray that is toaster oven safe, wipe the part down with acetone and be sure not to touch it.DSCF0597.jpg

next grab your powder and fill in in the gun cup.DSCF0600.jpg

now were ready to spray. set you compresser psi at 10-15. connect to gun. screw on poweder cup, attach ground wire to part and start spraying. o yea and theres also a button you have to hold in to charge the powder while spraying.

drop it in and set oven at 400 degress..it has to bake for 20 min after the part gets up to temp so i usually do about 25 min. also leave the door cracked open for minimal tempuratue change.
